History & Philosophy

As a family business, the sustainable Biohotel Grafenast in Tyrol, Austria, can look back on more than a hundred years of history. The founder of this history was Toni Unterlechner, known as Rodel-Toni. He settled on the Pillberg in Austria at the beginning of the 20th century and built the Rodelhütte, which still exists today. It was a time when only courageous skiers went up into the mountains.

Biohotel Grafenast has been pioneering the organic movement for years. It is also the first hotel in Tyrol to be certified as CO2-neutral.
