History & Philosophy

Hotel Bella Vista Zermatt opened in 1962 and now is managed in the third generation. The hotel founder, Theodor Perren, was a farmer and herded black-nosed sheep, while his wife Margrit looked after the hotel guests with great passion. The youngest daughter Bernadette took over the hotel in 1978 together with her husband Franz, a baker. The guests were offered a rich breakfast buffet with many fresh and homemade ingredients, which was not a matter of course at that time.
